The World as we see it- Censorship.
The American Bill of rights, First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.
The Canadian Bill of Rights, Under Article 19 of the ICCPR states that "everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference" and "everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice".
That being stated, under both American and Canadian Law, we have the freedom of expression and freedom of speech. That is in part what makes us a free country.
So, if we are allowed by law to exercise our freedoms, why is it that Facebook, Google and other public forums are deleting and closing accounts of anyone who post their political sensitive or controversial material without facing repercussions or resistance? and who would you even complain to? They have politicians, the media and the authorities in their back pocket.
What possible reason could these media sources have to hide the truth? Why would they even care?
The answer is simple.
The powers that are elected to protect the people, and to exercise our rights and freedoms, are the same people that censor these Social Medias to protect their interests and hide as well as protect their dirty little secrets.
The governments of the free and democratic world, forgets that they were elected 'by the people for the people' and not the other way around.
They seem to forget that the people collectively, have the power to raise them up or bring them down whether by vote or by violence. If the majority, would only have the gonads to do so.
But they also know, that most people are either asleep to what is going on around them, are too cowardly to do anything about it, feel powerless, or blindly believe that their government is on their side. Until it's too late...!
So, the government does what they want, when they want, without resistance or intervention. And for those few who stand up for their rights, they are either labeled as kooks, shot or never to be heard from again.
It has been said that in this world there are 3 different kinds of people.
1. Those who make things happen.
2. Those who watch things happen.
3. Those who say what happened?
Which category do you fit in?
May your God truly bless you.
Fitness and Lifestyle- Nutrition
If you wish to lose weight it's not rocket science.
If you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight.
But lying on the couch with a six pack and a bag of Doritos, it's not going to do it.
Also if you eat processed foods or foods with a high sugar content, you are not just a candidate for a heart attack, stroke or diabetes, but also a shortened life span of about 10 to 20 years.
As my doctor always says, if you eat foods that don't come in a package that God did not intend it to be, then it's probably bad for you.
Of course he is talking about natural foods not processed.
If you want to seriously lose weight, focus more on eating 5 or 6 small meals a day in combination of an hour's exercise - 4 to 5 times a week.
In the morning, (the most important meal of the day) try to stay away from cereals with sugar. Concentrate more on whole grains and nuts.
One of the best nutritional breakfast choice's (at least for me), is oatmeal. Its delicious and there is a dozen ways to prepare it.

*Per cent Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet. Your daily values may be higher or lower depending on your calorie needs.
For Brunch, you may want to have a toasted bagel (whole wheat) or maybe some Greek Yogurt.
For Lunch, you may want to keep it light. Chicken, meat or fish, maybe a Tuna or Caesar's salad.
Mid afternoon snack, fruits, especially berries maybe even an avocado.
For Dinner, Chicken, meat or fish with vegetables, one of the best is sweet potato or broccoli (which is a great detoxifier).
Then about a 1/2 hour after a good workout, (make sure you allow time to digest before working out). A protein shake.
My protein shakes are about 100 grams of protein and is a great deterrent for cancer and other serious illnesses.
My shakes contain:
3/4 cup of Cottage cheese
1/4 cup of Flax seed oil (contains omega 3, 6 and 9)
2 Egg whites (you can buy it in cartons at the grocery store)
A scoop of flavoured Protein powder
and a tsp of Cinnamon powder
Blend it all in a blender until it's liquified into a smoothie and down the hatch it goes.
Keep your meals small, natural (organic), your exercise intense and watch the pounds just shed from week to week.
Enjoy your life....!

The video below describes the America monetary system, but I can assure you that the Canadian system works the same way under different labels.
Instead of The Federal Reserve Bank which is privately owned, we have *The Bank of Canada, where a Governor is appointed for a seven-year term, and can be dismissed by the government. In case of a profound disagreement between the government and the Bank, the Minister of Finance can issue written instructions for the Bank to change its policies.
This has never actually happened in the history of the Bank to date.
In practice, the Governor sets monetary policy independently of the government. Canadian banknotes are signed by the governor and deputy governor of the Bank of Canada.
A slightly better monetary system (nationally), but it is still controlled by the same people, (global bankers) and operated pretty much the same way.
- Big changes are taking place in the tax world this year folks and the big winner is CRA/IRS as always.
With the creation of the "Global Tax Office" which debuted 3 years ago and the "Special Assessment Program" 2 years ago, (which coincided with the importation of bogus refugees, to secretly pay for it all), the beginning of taxpayers hell has arrived.
Our tax businesses took a big hit this year as predicted, not just for us, but most of our clients as well, because when the government is auditing EVERYBODY with any part-time business or home office, the first thing that people think is that; the auditors who have had a few months training, can't be wrong and whatever they enter in the computer system, must be written by the hand of God himself.
Therefore veterans who have been doing taxes all their lives must of made a mistake and be wrong - that's why they have to pay in.
So the client base that took literally took 20 years to build, CRA can destroy in one tax season. Thereby giving them control of everything and everyone, most of the time without question.
Allow me to explain...!
With the new Special Assessments Program, anyone with a part-time business, home office. employment expenses or rental income is being audited for the last 3 years. EVERYONE....!
Revenue Canada, knows that even though people have to keep theirs records for 7 years, they know that the average person lose, or throw away their paperwork after filing their income tax returns.
Equipped with this knowledge, they will audit someone for the past three years (which is as far as they can go back). Most people will not be able to produce the paperwork and they will be forced to pay back, what sometimes equivalates to thousands of dollars.
Even when they can produce those records CRA is adding the extra income to their regular employment income, thereby increasing taxable income and disallowing all their business expenses (deductions), such as professional and accounting fees in which we bill them.
They are doing this to pay for the tens of thousands of refugees, which they are being housed in 7 major military bases across Canada.
Since in our opinion, many of these young men are really ISIS militants, I say to our gullible and infantile PM, why not just hand them a copy of the keys to the armouries upon arrival?
This government is literally robbing its citizens to pay for refugees ($2000 plus a month depending on the number of kids they bring along), who are getting more money in allowance than the average disabled ($1,142 a month, the average low rent cockroach motel in Toronto is $1150 a Month) or retiree who has worked a lifetime for a pension and a comfortable retirement.
Instead the money is being handed out to these people, who have never contributed a penny to this country, Free Health Care, Transportation, Food, Shelter, Education, copies of the Quran, new Mosques and WiFi (just to name a few).
Here are some of the changes that you may have heard in the news:
Family caregiver amount for children under 18 years of age - Eliminated
Income Splitting - Eliminated
Tax free savings account limit increased - The TFSA is government owned which they will make millions of your savings, but you will not be able to use it as a deduction like an RRSP
Here are some you may not have:
Dividend Tax Credits
Global tax to be introduced by the UN to support abortion and teach children who are not old enough to know anything about sex (pre-schoolers), that the psychological disorder of homosexuality https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCUjZzuMQq8 is a normal sexual orientation. Look at it this way when you use to play together in the sand box with girl next door, did you have any conception of sex and what your tool was for, except for going to the bathroom? God doesn't make mistakes, we do.
If you were born with gender confusion or by perversion, it's a disorder.
All this is by design though. Their Ideal goal is to bankrupt the nation and create chaos and confusion, so that a New World Order is introduced to take our freedoms and save us all from a demon they created.
This is the old mafia tactic.
They go to an establishment and throw rocks through a window in the middle of the night. The next day they go to the establishment offering protection for a fee.
If the owner agrees, the violence stops. If he doesn't, the following week his livelihood burns to the ground.

Running Deficits to Fund Hamas?
While travelling on the connecting flight to Vancouver this morning, my plane hit a patch of what is euphemistically called “turbulence.” We dropped suddenly, “fetched up” abruptly, the plane shuddered violently, and then we continued on our course. I heard a few gasps and low murmurs from my fellow passengers. One fellow passenger however—a young child a few seats ahead of me—was delighted! “That was fun! I want to do it again!” he chortled. Under the circumstances, this was a pleasant and cheerful diversion. The rest of the passengers glanced at each other and smiled. None of the rest of us wanted to “do it again” but we were relieved, for a few moments, to enjoy a child’s perspective. We were also relieved to see that the wings were still attached.
While I appreciated this child’s sense of adventure and enjoyment of the unexpected, I also realized that the reason there was no fear was that there was a profound lack of understanding about possible dangers, the laws of physics, and the definite advantages of a controlled descent back to the planet. That leads me to the topic of the day: Why is our Prime Minister funding a terrorist group?
Like the young lad on the plane, our PM seems to have a similar lack of understanding of the world we live in. He is not only chortling gleefully as he feels the shaking and turbulence of world events, he’s actually tugging at the control levers to see what happens . . . and he seems annoyed that the rest of us passengers should question the wisdom of his decisions.
Yesterday, I learned that our PM has committed $15 million in funding to UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency). Sounds like fun right? Let’s do that again! Just one problem: UNRWA has been implicated in repeated episodes of helping Hamas, the terrorist Palestinian organization in their rocket launches against Israeli citizens. In fact, according to The Jewish Press.com, “UNRWA is Hamas”. They claim the link is so strong that any money given to UNRWA (which they call “the United Nations Rocket Warehousing Agency”) directly supports the terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians. There is a long list of events where Hamas rockets have been fired from schools and hospitals under the cover of UNRWA. This, of course, puts children and others in harm’s way when Israel attempts to take out the rocket launchers. For terrorists, that’s part of the “fun”—keep the world confused about who is the aggressor and create public sentiment against the only democracy in the region—Israel.
How do we help people but not help Hamas?
There are agencies sending in the products needed by the people…not the cash wanted by the militants. Food feeds people. Cash buys guns and rockets. It doesn’t help the average Gazan to give funds to Hamas. It purchases the guns and rockets that rain down on Israel. It is what causes Israel to respond with targeted attacks on rocket launchers to protect its own people. No matter how surgical the strikes, there is always the possibility of civilian casualties and certainly infrastructure damage, which again worsens the suffering in Gaza.
When we give money to terrorist organizations, we don’t help those who are suffering. We embolden the terrorists and make it worse for civilians. That’s why Canada should not be funding UNRWA with its political agenda re. Hamas.
As the Rebel Media has pointed out, there are other relief agencies to which Canada could contribute—if we had the money. Our Prime Minister seems razor-focused on doing everything he can to please and placate radical Islamist groups and to annoy those of us who believe Canada should be using her influence to support democracies and protect innocent civilians. We hear the chortling from the pilot’s seat. We just keep checking to make sure the wings are still attached. Someone may have forgotten to notify our naïve PM that there are real lives at stake and real consequences for careless experiments and political gamesmanship. Besides that, we do have our own economic challenges. Deficits have real consequences too. Accumulated deficits, (also known as the National Debt), cannot, like Hamas rockets, be hidden in UNRWA schools and hospitals.
For a political party with Better Solutions to foreign affairs and political challenges around the world, for a political party that supports the freedoms and equalities inherent in our Christian heritage, join CHP. We won’t support terrorists.

Suicide: a Crisis, Not a Right
A state of emergency was recently called in a First Nations community in Northern Manitoba.
Rampant suicide has devastated this community, and they are calling out for help to stop this tragic trend.
They’ve asked for “at least six mental-health workers immediately, as well as…a child psychologist and family therapist,” Will the government officials and bureaucrats who respond to this situation send in help as requested? Or will they send in a few doctors with lethal injections in anticipation of Liberal approval of doctor-assisted suicide? The second option is clearly wrong and should be unthinkable, but is it impossible? After all, the Liberal-dominated committee has proposed broadly expanding on the Supreme Court’s ruling. If they have their way, people suffering from depression would merely have to ask for a needle and they would receive an injection from a doctor to end their lives. Is this how we help people suffering mental anguish?
Cross Lake has lost six of its members to suicide in the last two months, a terrible trauma to the entire community, but even more appalling is the 140 suicide attempts that have been reported in the last two weeks…in a community of 8300 people!
While suicide epidemics are not new, they are very disturbing, especially among young people, and it has been mostly young people who have committed or attempted suicide. Some may think of it as a crisis of poverty, others as a lack of attention. Most of us would identify a lack of hope. Deep down, we know that there must be a spiritual crisis, and that ultimately those who are tempted to end their life need to see that their life, each life, has meaning.
Would any sane person ever suggest that, if a community has a suicide problem, they just be given the means to go ahead with the help of a doctor? I hope not! But, by making something legal, we make it permissible and possible.
It is a cruel irony that our Parliament is considering a law to allow doctors to “help” people commit suicide. The report that was tabled in Parliament was characterized by MP Brad Trost as “the most extreme in the world” and the Conservative MPs on the committee offered this dissenting opinion. The report itself considers extending the “right” to assisted suicide to mature minors; will this help young people in communities like Cross Lake?
If our Parliament is willing to say that suicide is an acceptable practice in Vancouver, can they say that it is not acceptable for people in Cross Lake? Why? Why should Parliament even consider sending mental health workers, a child psychologist, and a family therapist? What’s the difference? With what moral authority can they offer or withhold help?
Our Members of Parliament must acknowledge that it is wrong to offer suicide as a treatment for hopelessness—in Cross Lake, in Toronto, in Vancouver—everywhere.
There is no doubt that Cross Lake needs help. They deserve our prayers, as well as our help. They need care (as requested), not killing. That should be obvious, but legalization of assisted suicide blurs the moral lines of what is caring and what is hurting.
Suicide prevention week is September 5th-11th this year. It’s too bad it’s not in the spring because maybe then the irony of making something legal and easy on the one hand, and seeking to prevent it on the other hand would be too much, even for politicians.
Let us hope and pray that the state of emergency that has been declared in Cross Lake will cause our Parliamentarians to re-consider their support for physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia. We know it is wrong in Cross Lake: now we must, as a society, stand up and say that it is wrong all the time because human life—all human life—is sacred because it is given by God.
CHP Canada recognizes that all humans are created in the image of God and have intrinsic value. Hopelessness must be replaced by hope. Our medical tax dollars must be used to provide the help requested by this First Nations community.
We offer Canadians a voice against this scourge of suicide, assisted and otherwise. Join your voice with ours by joining CHP Canada today.
Our sympathies go out to the grieving families and friends of those whom they have lost. May God give them comfort. May each of us be reminded of the need to care and give hope to those who are in need, both physically and spiritually.

A Budget that Ignores Economics
Today the Liberal Finance Minister unveiled a budget that predictably ratcheted up the red ink on the ledger, revealing a $29.4 billion deficit, while claiming to be fulfilling the expectations of the Canadian people who elected Mr. Trudeau and the Liberal team.
Many items could be examined from the budget which—when dissected—show a careless departure from sound budgetary principles and a reckless leap into the economic unknown. Here are a few:
In a gesture of gratitude to the CBC which has helped push Liberal ideology and policies for many years, the Hon. Mr. Morneau promised $675 million over 5 years to help them “modernize in the digital age”. (If only that money would help them shed their bias against pro-lifers, traditional marriage and Christian morals!)
$1.9 billion over 5 years for “Arts and Culture”. This no doubt means more money squandered on socially-biased films and tradition-challenging documentaries. Art needs to earn its support. Politicized art, or worse, obscene art, is harmful to our culture. We don’t want Justin borrowing money in our names to squander it on “art” that annoys or degrades.
Mentioned in the budget speech was the Liberals’ reinstatement of the long-form census “because we need good information to make good decisions”. Fine. Start by ordering BC and Ontario to release their top-secret abortion statistics. We all pay for abortions and young women are being injured by them. Breast cancer is one likely side effect, based on many studies. How many abortions are taking place? What ages are the women and girls undergoing the procedures? What is it costing? How many are having complications? How many babies are born alive after abortion attempts? We want all the information, not just selected info.
The government will give more money to Status of Women, supposedly to improve justice and equality for women. Not a word about gender-selective abortions which disproportionately kill unborn girls. No word about curtailing pornography which degrades and humiliates women. We know what to expect when the government throws more money to feminists: more talk about abortion access and more university courses on lesbianism.
Harkening back to Paul Martin’s 2005 attempt to address First Nations issues, the Libs promise now to spend $8.4 billion additional money on reserves, to “end boil-water advisories” and to improve education opportunities. For Canada’s 1,400,685 natives, this amounts to a little over $1,000 per year for every man, woman and child. Of course, we totally agree that First Nations children and ALL Canadians deserve clean, safe drinking water; to the extent the money is properly dispersed to provide clean reliable water, I support that initiative. Many reserves, regrettably not all, already have new water treatment plants, so we’re not starting from scratch here. Spend where needed.
As to education for First Nations children and the building of schools, etc., we must remember the debacle of residential schools and the shame and never-ending saga of repentance and remorse. We don’t want to repeat the mistakes of the past. Building schools sounds great but what will be taught in the schools? The new era of “non-residential schools” may be just as bad as the old regime in terms of imposing urban, secular, humanistic values on children. In Alberta and Ontario, secular governments are imposing their own anti-cultural values on the children of native and non-native parents alike. Big new buildings do not guarantee quality education. This government should be reviewing the over-reach of provincial governments and demanding they respect culture, including the traditional Christian beliefs held by many parents and students.
The new Canada Child benefit which the Liberals claim will “raise hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty” will, they say, provide on average $2300 of tax-free income to families with school-aged children. While this will certainly help prudent and stewardly families to afford monthly bills, it falls far short of the CHP’s plan to give families $1,000 per month ($12,000 per year) to families where one parent stays home to nurture the children. The CHP plan also would free up job spaces for young people, eliminating the need for the Liberals to “create 105,000 summer jobs”. Job creation is neither the mandate nor the strength of government. Businesses can use young people if they are available, hard-working and affordable.
The Liberals would increase grants for post-secondary education by 50%. It would be much better to have professors and university staff lower their salary expectations by 50% and have universities cut funding for nonessential courses. Keep the costs low, allow students to work their way through school and help them choose courses which will equip them for real life and satisfying careers. Throwing money at a system that’s not working is just not going to help.
Mr. Morneau intends to “help seniors”, especially those who are single. That’s a worthy goal. Another goal which would go much farther would be to help couples stay together “until death do them part”. My heart goes out to every person who has lost a spouse through death or divorce and we need to be sure the survivors are able to maintain themselves in comfort and dignity. However, we should be using all our energy and resources to help couples stay together, not only during their children’s formative years but on into midlife and beyond. Every divorce has a cost to the children and adults involved and those cumulative costs drain bank accounts and undermine economic security. The government should re-examine “no-fault divorce” and save families thousands and thousands of dollars. The CHP also strongly endorses a Personal Income Savings Account which would enable individuals and couples to invest early in their futures and would provide a viable and secure income in old age.
The Finance Minister says he will spend $800 million over 4 years pursuing “clean growth and fighting climate change”. This is just a blatant “bait and switch”. We all want clean growth. To simply equate clean growth with the implied necessity of imposing carbon taxes is ingenuous. The unproven theory that CO2 is the cause of climate change and that taxing it is the solution is a simple ploy. Nobody, including our Prime Minister and the entourage who accompanied him to Paris—at great cost and with huge fanfare—can hold the earth’s temperature to within 2 degrees, simply by taxing the people. Nice try but we’re not buying it.
The budget did not mention the Liberal campaign promise to spend $3 billion on palliative care. Spending on real care would reduce the urgency of calls for assisted suicide. Is this government more willing to terminate patients’ lives than to mitigate their pain and provide comfort and care in their final days?
With loud cheers from the government side and obvious disapproval from the Official Opposition, Mr. Trudeau’s government has delivered its first budget. By the time it was tabled, we all expected a deficit of around $30 billion. $29.4 billion is pretty close. Claiming the excuse of low interest rates, Mr. Morneau insisted that now is a great time to borrow. We think, rather, it would be a great time to start paying down the debt. Everyone knows that one day interest rates will rise. When they do, we’ll be wishing we had exercised restraint. But spending is so easy when you’re spending other people’s money.

Will the United Nations Put Their Hands in My Pocket?
Are you feeling over burdened with taxes? Are you wondering how, with such a large portion of your paycheque going to taxes, you’re going to meet all of your obligations? You’d better duck to avoid the next tax missile going overhead!
A United Nations (UN) panel has proposed a Goods and Services Tax (GST) to finance world crises. The UN is funded by independent and voluntary contributions from governments. Naturally, donor countries place conditions on the funds they give. That helps to hold the UN accountable for the money they receive.
With all of the tragic circumstances around the world, — war, famine, refugees — how could anyone object to a few pennies going to an organization that provides aid? There’s a lot to consider when an agency that is NOT elected by Canadians (or any other country) is given license to tax us.
According to the New York Times “The authors of the report also encourage more cash assistance, rather than food, tents and blankets. They cite one 2014 study in which 70 percent of a sample group of Syrian refugees traded “in-kind assistance they received for cash.”
I’m sure cash is preferable; after all you have freedom to purchase whatever you want with cash… Hamas purchases weapons rather than food for Palestinians, when we give them cash. Could the same thing happen if the UN gave false refugee claimants cash? While recognizing that there are legitimate refugee claims, when you need shelter, food and blankets for your family, why would you trade them in for cash? What could be more important than shelter, food and warmth…basic human rights?
But, what else is part of this taxation “can of worms?”
LifeSiteNews reminds us that there is a split between the views of the UN General Assembly and the bureaucracy of the UN.
“The General Assembly, for instance, has defined “gender” twice, in the Beijing Platform for Action and the Rome Statues establishing the International Criminal Court, and both definitions have been acceptable to traditional delegations. However, the bureaucracy continues to define gender as a social construct and has accepted the notion of transgenderism that the General Assembly has consistently rejected.
The General Assembly has consistently and overwhelmingly rejected the inclusion of “sexual orientation and gender identity” in UN documents and therefore a part of new international norms. The bureaucracy, led by the Secretary General, however, is running a global campaign to impose this agenda on the UN and on the world. The last thing we need is for them to have their own money, accountable to no one but themselves, to run such an anti-life and anti-family agenda.”
The UN is not only interested in controlling global population through abortion or enforcing global carbon emission targets based on unproven theories about man-caused climate change. The UN also wants to practice their radical sex education agenda on our children.
Family Watch International issues this warning about UN documents currently being discussed (Agreed Conclusions and a resolution on HIV/AIDS) at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
“Both documents are filled with proposals calling for controversial sexual rights and for radical sexuality education for even very young children.”
Should this UN imposed GST be implemented, the UN will not be accountable to donor states as they currently are. This frees them of any restraint on their immoral activism.
This proposed tax will be discussed at the World Humanitarian Summit this May. You must take action to stop it before then...unless you are willing to allow the UN to put their hands in your pockets! We must speak up! There is too much at stake for our children, our country and our worldview.
Please sign this petition to stop the global tax.
(If you have an extra moment, you could sign this other petition to send a message to UN Women telling them to stop promoting abortion and to focus on what women really want! )
Our CHP Position on the United Nations is that:
We affirm that Canada should retain its membership in the United Nations. While continuing to support the United Nations as originally constituted, we must not let wishful thinking blind us to the organization’s serious and costly defects.
Signing these petitions tells the UN our position, however, membership in CHP Canada tells our Canadian politicians that we won’t accept their radical agenda for our children, for our families, and against our Christian worldview. Join today!

"Hidden Codes in the Bible"
Recently, THE BIBLE CODE, a book by Michael Drosnin burst on to the scene, proposing that there are hidden coded texts recording all of history in the Hebrew textus receptus (the Masoretic text) of the Torah. Already, THE BIBLE CODE has reached number 5 on the New York Times bestseller list. In view of the findings, the Bible can be viewed as a 3-D hologram with the surface text as the outside layer and the hidden texts found at equidistant letter spacing (ELS) on the inside layers. A computer program is available to search for words with up to 10,000 spaces between letters in the surface text.

This week on idiocracy
- When life throws you a curveball and one is no longer employable due to an illness or disability, one reaches out of need or desperation to survive, to system which one has spent their entire working life contributing to.
In this case I can only speak of myself, where Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease is not only taking my ability to work, walk or even sign my own name but also to gain any kind of meaningful employment with 2 Phd's, 2 published books, proficiency in tax consulting and even a Personal Trainers certification.
So instead of making a 6 figure wage, I have to depend on $1,142.00 a month which won't even pay for an average one bedroom apartment in the city (average low rent apartment in Toronto is $1150).
That being said I applied for a PSW (personal service worker) to help with meals, shower and small errands that most people take for granted but are extremely difficult to anyone handicapped (like carrying a load of laundry to the basement to get washed or button up a dress shirt) and I got put on a waiting list for over a year now with no prospects in site.
I assume that these people think that one can survive over a year without bathing and just eating raw vegetables and fruits.
When I applied for Disability 11 years ago or so, they promised you the world. Any kind of mobility devices such as wheelchairs, ramps, walkers, drugs and anything else to help you to integrate with the world.
The truth of the matter is, when I started using a wheelchair I was in Portugal for 8 months pursuing love and medical attention, not knowing that I was not allowed out of the province for more than 30 days, I bought a chair there because it was becoming increasingly difficult to stand and walk.
Needless to say I had to buy a chair locally out-of-pocket with the crumbs disability fed me.
After someone ratting that I was out of the country, not only NOT did I pay for the chair but I also had to pay back 7 months out of the 8 that I was there.
I needed a ramp built in front of the house, because without it I might as well be an in-house prison; I was asked to get 3 quotes from 3 different contractors and then wait for approval which I was told could take up to 6 months.
I guess that I would have to go 6 months without groceries if it was not for the mercy of others.
So in my wheelchair I had the materials delivered home and I build most of it myself sitting down on the chair and weak wrists and a little help from my son.
I sent them the receipts for the materials, guess how much I got reimbursed back? You guessed it. NOTHING.
I got a scooter from a different government agency after a 2 year wait. The scooter did not come with batteries. I phoned them and asked them how good was a scooter without batteries and they told me, I had to get it from disability.
Keep in mind that a scooter is an extension of my legs outside.
I had the disability shop send them a quote for the batteries with a cost of $250 a piece (I needed 2) and I waited a month, then 2, then 3 and nothing.
6 Months later I decided to purchased them myself otherwise again inhouse prison for me.
To this day, I still nothing heard nothing from disability.
This year I got a new wheelchair from the same people with the scooter with the help of an Occupational Therapist, but the door to the bathroom had to be widened. Again as with the case with the ramp, I had to get quotes from contractors and wait.
So I guess while I am waiting I had to hold it in to take a crap for 6 months.
With the help of my son, we widened the door and again I sent in the receipts for supplies and again, guess how much we got reimbursed?
A couple months ago, I applied for a walker.
They called me telling me I need a letter from my doctor, saying that I need one.
I faxed them that letter, not once but 3 times.
Today I got a response after giving up and purchasing it myself.
Here what they had to say:
Dear Mr. Duarte
The Client Special Services Unit has received and reviewed your request for a walker. Your request cannot be processed at this time as it does not meet the criteria of Client Special Services Guidelines.
The following information is required to further assess your request.
An assessment is required from an Occupational Therapist through the Community Care Access Centre. Please contact the CCAC for a Home Safety Assessment from an Occupational Therapist who will provide a detailed and rationale (I guess a letter from your doctor is not rationale enough for them) for equipment that may make it easier to manage in your home.
Now keep in mind that I have been on a waiting list for over a year for a PSW and the list for an assessment from an Occupational Therapist can take just as long.
What is funny is that all these people have the same employer as me, "the taxpayer", but while they are going home with a cool $85,000 a year paycheck for the denying people like me basic survival services and creating work to make themselves. We are forced to struggle to survive on $13,704 per year and sometimes working harder than they do.
You are better of being a refugee, who have not contributed a single dime to come to this country and have Mosques built for them equipped with free Qurans and are given free housing, food and an allowance that would make a minimum wage worker proud.
So pardon my language, but if you are handicapped in this country, you are not "handicapped" you are "handifucked".
